Official closure is an important legal step for the Capital Airport BBI

Dr Rainer Schwarz, CEO of Berlin Airports: “We greatly welcome the decision of the Senate Committee for Urban Development to close down Tempelhof Airport. This clearly establishes that Tempelhof Airport will no longer be an officially approved airport after 31 October 2008. The official closure is an important legal step for the Capital Airport BBI. It arises necessarily from the planning stipulation decision, which expressly requires the concentration of air traffic in a single location.” BBI.
