Berlin Airports today welcomed the announcement made by British low-cost carrier easyJet that the airline will be stationing its ninth Airbus A319 at Schoenefeld Airport in March 2008 and building a new call centre in Potsdam.
Commenting on easyJet’s plans, Dr. Rainer Schwarz, CEO of Berlin Airports, stated, “We are delighted to have in easyJet a strong partner who has seized the great advantages that Berlin and Brandenburg have to offer. easyJet’s investment in a new call centre in Potsdam is a clear signal of the airline’s strong and enduring commitment to the Berlin-Brandenburg region.”
easyJet operates its largest base in continental Europe in Berlin-Schoenefeld. The British low-cost carrier currently flies to 27 destinations from Berlin, including Basle, Belfast, Brussels, Budapest, Lisbon, London, Lyon, Paris and Riga.
