Berlin is the perfect travel destination for business people and tourists from China: Berlin is the top travel destination in Germany and ranks third in Europe. As the headquarters for the Federal Government, the city is becoming increasingly important for politics and the economy. Berlin is also the ideal starting point for connecting flights within Germany and Europe. Around 50 national Chinese destinations are offered from Beijing. Hainan Airlines' flight schedule also includes numerous international connections, such as Beijing to Budapest, Brussels, Osaka, Novosibirsk, St Petersburg and Seattle. Further connections are also offered, for example from Urumchi to Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, or from Sanya to Seoul, the capital of South Korea.
For both Berlin and Beijing, Hainan Airlines is offering reasonably priced shuttle services in cooperation with Air Berlin, Brussels Airlines and Malev. Particularly good offers are available for flights from Berlin to Frankfurt, Munich, Brussels, Budapest and Warsaw, as well as from Beijing to Shanghai and Nanjing. Further connecting flights are also available from Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Nuremberg, Münster/Osnabrück, London Stansted, Vienna, Zurich, Copenhagen, Göteborg, Stockholm ARN, Rome FCO, Milan BGY, Helsinki, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, St Petersburg and Moscow DME.
Hainan Airlines is China's fourth-largest airline. The airline is currently offering more than 500 connections to more than 90 Chinese and international destinations. Since 1993, Hainan Airlines has offices in Beijing, Xi'an, Taiyuan, Urumchi, Guangzhou, Lanzhou and Dalian.
Hainan Airlines is part of the holding company of the HNA Group, was founded in 1989 and began operating flights in 1993. The HNA Group has 148 aircraft. In 2007, 14.94 million passengers flew with Hainan Airlines. The company has more than 9,000 employees. Hainan Airlines has already won several awards for its offers. In 2000, 2003 and 2007, Hainan Airlines was awarded the "Golden Eagle Cup" by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. Nine times in a row, the airline has won prizes for its passenger friendliness. In addition, the airline has been presented multiple awards for being the most punctual airline in the whole of China. The most recent award Hainan Airlines received was from industry analysts Skytrax for being China's best airline.
Frequency To Germany's Capital Increases To Seven Flights A Week / New Services Effective 1 February 2008 As Total Capacity To Germany Rises To 24 Services A Week
Qatar Airways is expanding operations in Germany by stepping up frequency between Berlin and Doha to daily scheduled services, effective February 1.
From four to seven flights a week, the award-winning airline will offer business and leisure travellers to and from Berlin with more greater choice and more convenience.
The additional frequencies will also offer passengers with immediate connections in Doha, to Qatar Airways’ extensive network of flights covering the Middle East, Africa, Indian Subcontinent and Far East.
The route will continue to be operated with an Airbus A319 in a two-class configuration of eight seats in Business and 102 in Economy. Qatar Airways remains the only airline from the Gulf region to fly to Berlin, one of Europe’s historic and most fascinating cities.
Qatar Airways Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said he was delighted to see yet another capacity hike, which will facilitate closer ties between Qatar and Germany.
“The Berlin route has performed exceptionally well since its launch two years ago and we are pleased to strengthen our presence in the German market, which already includes 10 services a week to Frankfurt and daily flights to Munich.”
Al Baker added that the increase in number of flights between Doha and Berlin will give more passengers the opportunity to use Qatar Airways’ award-winning Premium Terminal at Doha International Airport. The terminal is for exclusive use of Qatar Airways’ First and Business Class passengers departing from Doha or transiting through the city.
The Premium Terminal features a Five-Star welcome and check in service, as well as a variety of top-end facilities including spa treatments and jacuzzis, exclusive duty-free shopping, a state-of-the-art business centre and fine dining options. Built in just nine months, the US$90 million terminal is the world’s first commercial passenger building dedicated to First and Business Class passengers.
Qatar Airways currently operates a modern fleet of 60 Airbus and Boeing aircraft to 81 destinations worldwide.
