In order to assess aircraft noise levels, measurements are conducted in accordance with German aviation regulations. In addition to continuously collecting data, noise measurement stations are checked daily and the data is processed.
The results of these measurements are evaluated according to predetermined criteria and presented as tables and diagrams. A summary of the results is published every month. Recipients of these reports include agencies, institutions, and the Aircraft Noise Commission.
In addition to measuring aircraft noise to determine the current situation, calculations are made concerning the future development of airport noise pollution. Based on existing regulations and the latest results, computer simulations are created. These results are presented in graphics that depict the expected noise impact.
In addition, noise management schemes make it possible to calculate various alternatives and test their effect on noise levels.
